In some cases it is necessary to deactivate wireless zero in Windows to configure wireless with an third party aplication. Windows zero is the default windows tool for managing wireless.
How to disable wireless zero in windows 7:
- Click start, enter cmd , right click run as Administrator.
- Enter: netsh wlan set autoconfig enabled=no interface=<intf-name> , press Enter.
- Now, you can use device manufacturer app, or a third party app to configure Wireless card.
You can do this when you want to activate a third party wireless manager. In cases when you download driver from the wireless card manufacturer along with its application, there is no need to take this action.
